The Teamsters Local 170 have been doing benefit walks for the past couple years and this year decided to put on a Walk for Diabetes, to help the American Diabetes Association raise money to help find a cure. So many children and adults have diabetes in today's society that it makes up almost half of our population. The Teamsters wanted to get involved in helping to find a cure. The Teamsters Local 170 has been teaming up with the Red Cross for some years now to give blood. The Teamsters feel that giving blood is very important. Having a sufficient supply of blood on hand has saved many lives when someone became injured and needed blood, so come on down and roll up your sleeve and give some blood. The Teamsters Local 170 are gearing up again to host their Annual Golf Tournament held at Heritage Country Golf Club out in Charlton, Ma. The Teamsters have been doing this charity event every year now to raise money as part of their scholarship fund.
