St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Members of Local 170 and their families participate in the annual St. Patricks Day Parade, which takes place in Worcester.
Parade Committee
Our Volunteer Parade Committee does an outstanding job decorating our float for the St. Patrick's Day Parade and also coordinates a group of enthusiastic marches to participate in the parade. It's a fun day for everyone!

Teamsters Local 170 & American Red Cross Blood Drive

Our Summer Blood Drive is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Local 170's Union Hall, 330 Southwest Cutoff, Worcester, MA. We'll have plenty of food and prizes. Pre-registration is suggested and positive ID is required. Stop by and "Give the Gift of Life."

Lucky Day in May Raffle
Sun, June 06, 2010Tickets for Local 170's Lucky Day in May Raffle are now available. Please see your Union Steward or stop by the Union Hall to purchase tickets; with each ticket purchased you have (31) chances to win! Tickets are $10.00 each or $30.00 for a book of (3). The drawing will take place during Local 170's Monthly Membership Meeting on Sunday, June 6, 2010. All proceeds benefit Teamsters Union Local 170's Scholarship Fund.

Scholarship Fund Motorcycle Poker Run
Local 170 hosts a motorcycle poker run to benefit Local 170's Scholarship Fund, which is a fun day for everyone. Unfortunately, 2009's motorcycle poker run was cancelled due to inclement weather. Our Scholarship Committee is in the process of making plans for this year's event; more details will follow.

Holidays with Heart Food Drives
During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays members of Local 170 and their families helped to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables to various shelters within Worcester County. A very special thank you to everyone who participated in the Holiday with Heart Food Drives this past holiday season!

Scholarship Fund Annual Golf Tournament
Local 170's Annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament took place on Sunday, August 30, 2009 beginning at 7:30 AM at the Heritage Country Club, 84 Sampson Road, Charlton, MA. This charity event was successful in raising money for our Scholarship Fund and featured prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin along with trophies for the 1st Place Team, 2nd Place Team & 3rd Place Team. A very special thank you to everyone who participated in this year's tournament and to all of our sponsors. We look forward to seeing you at the 2010 Golf Tournament! (Event date still pending).
